Cancelled:  This event has been cancelled, along with the Sharing the Coast Conference.  See the article on the cancellation.

On Saturday evening, March 14, an after-party for the Sharing the Coast Conference will also serve as the wrap-up celebration for this winter’s very successful King Tides Project. The event, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Dave’s Pizza (740 Koos Bay Blvd.) in Coos Bay, is free and open to all, whether or not attending the conference (see separate listing).

The event features king tide photos and a talk on how sea level rise is affecting our coast by Nick Tealer, NOAA Coastal Fellow with the state’s Department of Land Conservation and Development and our colleague in organizing the King Tides Project.  Food and drink is available from Dave’s.  The festivities will conclude with a coastal trivia contest.
