Comments:
There are now dunes accumulating about 50 meters in from the highest tide incursion between the ocean and land-locked lagoon along side hwy 101. These have stands of European beachgrass growing in them and appear fairly stable over the last month or two.
Summary:
The Pistol River remains closed from the ocean. A large number of pelicans and gulls mingled with a few cormorants seem to be 'headquartering' at the lake feature that accumulates just past the bridge when the river is blocked. Photos will be uploaded later.
